We are having a break during January but already have 15 bookings for 2009 beginning in February. So do it now! _________ Delusions? _________ If youtube is a representative sample of what the world has to offer in regards to '60s bands, we have to be #1! No other youtube band covers the range of material that we do (with the right instrumentation) and no-one actually seems to play with the same passion. Or are we just deluded? Who's better, who's best? _________ Dutch Club Wow! ______________ The gig at the Dutch Club was absolutely fantastic - thanks a lot to the huge crowd who came to see us. The room and the acoustics were wonderful and we hope to play there again soon. The next batch will include "Go Now" (Moody Blues), "Please Mister Postman" (The Beatles), "Not Fade Away" (Rolling Stones), "Hold Tight" (Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, etc), "Soothe Me" (The Groove), "Catch Us if You Can" (Dave Clark Five), " Sad Dark Eyes" (The Loved Ones), "See See Rider" (The Animals) and our magnum opus "See Me Feel Me/Pinball Wizard" (The Who). That lot should keep us busy for a few weeks... _______________ '60s Time Machine _______________ What a great night! 125 punters came to see The Substitutes and the Ska Vendors at the Glasshouse Hotel last Saturday. I love ska music and the Ska Vendors truly captured the spirit of the Jamaican '60s music - Prince Buster rules! The rabbit warren of the Glasshouse also worked well - there were places to hear a band and places to chill out and converse. It was a success! ________
